Our Doctors
Hardeep Bhakhri, DVMMedical DirectorDr. Bhakhri graduated from Punjab Agricultural University, India in 1997. He finished his national board exams and studies in North America. His fields of expertise are small animal surgery and internal medicine. He also takes good care of rodents and pocket pets. He consults with specialists when required. Dr. Bhakhri was licensed in California in 2000 and worked in different clinics in the Bay Area for 4 years. He also worked in an emergency clinic in New York for 2 years. He has been working at ELC Veterinary Clinic since August 2006. Dr. Bhakhri is capable of handling any type of emergency or critical cases. In addition to his busy schedule at the clinic, he likes to hike and travel and spend time with his family and his pet dog, Rey.
Fahimeh Zibaee, DVMDr. Zibaee was born and raised in Iran and has worked in the veterinary field since 2009 after graduating from vet school. Dr. Zibaee received her California state license in 2018 and since then working as a small animal practitioner. Dr. Zibaee is passionate about soft tissue surgeries, neurology, and internal medicine. In free time she enjoys hiking, biking, watching movies and cooking. She has two cats named Jasper and Emmett.

Dr. Bhakhri graduated from Punjab Agricultural University, India in 1997. He finished his clinical rotations at University of Tuskegee in Alabama. His fields of expertise are small animal surgery and internal medicine. He also takes good care of rodents and pocket pets.
Our Staff
Jacob, Hospital Manager
He joined us in June of 2011. Jacob has 7 years of experience in the field of veterinary. He enjoys working with pets very much and believes he found what he would like to do for a long time. Apart from working with pets at ELC, he has two dogs of his own, Flash and Titan.
Noe, Vet Assistant
Noe became the part of our family in June of 2009 and is our resident cat lady. She ran a large boarding facility in an animal hospital in Fremont, and also worked as a tech at a clinic in Redwood City. Noe enjoys spending time with her family, immersing herself in a good book and caring for her own cats.
Roxanne, RVT
Roxanne joined the ELC crew in 2012, at first as a volunteer twice a week then to a full time employee a year later. She enjoyed working with Dr. Bhakhri and Dr. Zibaee , the staff and of course the pets so much, she went to Foothill College to continue her education in the veterinary field. Graduated and received her veterinary technician license in 2015 and is still learning new things about career every day.
Patrizia, Vet Assistant
Patrizia joined the ELC team in December of 2021 as a volunteer and became a full-time veterinary assistant in May of 2022 after graduating from California State University, East Bay with a B.S. in Biology. She hopes to further pursue her education to become a DVM. In her spare time, she loves going on food adventures, shopping, and spending time with her dogs and cats.
Alexandria, Head Receptionist
Alexandria joined our ELC team in September 2021. She has previous experience as a receptionist but now gets to fulfill her passion of working with animals. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family and most importantly, spoiling her fur baby Stella Marie.
Vanessa, Vet Assistant
Vanessa joined the ELC team as a veterinary assistant in February of 2023. After two years in the dog grooming world, she was ready to expand her career in the animal medical field. At home, Vanessa cares for her small pets as well as her family’s dog and cat. Soon, Vanessa will be enrolled in a program to gain her Veterinary Technician License and grow even more with the wonderful team of ELC.
Savannah, Vet Assistant
Savannah is a Bay Area native who joined the team in May 2022, starting as a volunteer before transitioning to a part-time role. After studying biology at Grambling State University in Louisiana, she returned home to work full-time and hopes to continue her education in veterinary medicine. Savannah enjoys learning from the team and spends her free time with family, keeping up with the latest movies and TV shows, and exploring her love for food.
Maricielo, Vet Assistant
Marci is originally from Chicago and is currently studying biology full-time. She loves working with animals, volunteers at the Marine Mammal Center, and enjoys helping her community whenever she can. She also works in horticulture and likes spending time caring for plants and learning hands on.
Stephany, Vet Assistant
Stephany joined the ELC team as a Veterinary Assistant in August 2025 and is currently studying Veterinary Technology at Foothill College. She enjoys working with animals and takes pride in providing gentle, quality care to every patient. In her free time, Stephany enjoys traveling, spending time with her dog Daisy, and relaxing with a good book.
Jae, Vet Assistant
Since 2014, Jae has been caring for animals of all kinds—as a Veterinary Technician and an animal lover at heart. Their compassion doesn’t stop when the workday ends; at home, Jae is happily surrounded by two cats, a snake, two tarantulas, and a betta fish. When not tending to animals, Jae enjoys watching movies, relaxing with their pets, and spending time with friends and family.
Rey, Resident Dog
Rey is a German Shepherd who lives with Dr. Bhakhri's family and often spends days at ELC. She's very friendly and enjoys spending time with the staff.
